Golam was in a space lounge leaning against a long bar drinking an organic carrot juice and munching on a Powerbar. A small group of people who presented themselves as friends, colleagues, acquaintances, ex-co-workers, etc., were sitting in chairs scattered in the back of what now appeared to him to be a kind of theme-cafe or preprogrammed-bar. This particular theme was a retro look based off some of the interior shots and fashionware exhibited in the old 2001 movie. He felt like he had been here many times before and that it was all happening in the future where he saw a number of people he didn't expect to ever see again. Cynthia was not among them.
