But then I quit and decided to become a programmer. I was in one of those incubation phases where I could hide OUT of the public spotlight just so I could practice unwriting myself in that big space, that big space of IN. I had no idea why I was driven to program the way I did. And it was so weird: all of this was happening just when I met you who, so much older, told me that you too had no idea what drove you to do the strange things you did. I was really attracted to that aspect of your personality. It somehow made your whole aura more appealing."
