"Uh...I'm not sure. Mellow. Like someone else is writing my own story for me...which is fine: that's why I started developing Nanoscript in the first place. This is exactly how GRAMMATRON was conceptualized from the start. I'm feeling like I just extended my narrative space and am now prepared for whatever comes next. But I have a dilemma."
"And what's your dilemma?"
"Well, it's obvious that you and Cynnie are in this together. I can't help myself from feeling paranoid. The only way I can even begin to feel comfortable about all of this is to just let it flow and assume that I too am part of the program. And I'm affectionately attracted to both of you, Cynnie for her years of togetherness and support, you for being my robotic Muse who could just as well be a kind of Cynnie-clone, the woman-in-white, the dream of perfection. But as you say, in many ways, Cynnie is more perfect than you, so what can I possibly be thinking?"
"Good point Abe. I think you're ready for action. And look, here's the shack at mile-marker 76. We'll be shifting toward the underground now. Let's just hope she's there."
